This business is owned by experienced retail operator Francesca Ferraro, and run by her daughter Maria and son-in-law Frank Doherty, who also manages the growing side, where the business grows a number of varieties of strawberries as well as cherry tomatoes, zucchini, capsicums and chillies. It’s been going 38 years and the associated shop, about 16 years. The shop is now as much a one-stop fresh food market as a fresh produce market. Emphasis is placed on district produce. Locally grown crops in season includes potatoes, asparagus, sweet corn, apples and pears and quinces. There’s a whole section for gourmet gift lines and a juice, fruit salad coffee/food bar.
