Old-Fashioned Lemonade

Description:
Refreshing tangy drink, combined with lemons and fresh mint, served on ice.
Ingredients:
- 12 to 15 lemons
- 1 cup castor sugar
- 2 litres tap water
- 1 whole sliced lemon
- 1/3 bunch fresh mint
- 1/3 bunch vietnamese mint (optional)
Method:
- Cut lemons in half
- Cut 1/2 a lemon into slices for garnish
- Squeeze the rest of the lemons and collect the juice
- Pour the juice through a coarse sieve to remove pips
- Place lemon juice in a mixing bowl and add sugar, mix thoroughly to dissolve
- Add 3/4 of the water to the lemonade and taste, if required add the rest of the water
- Wash both varieties of mint and place large sprig of each in lemonade
- Place lemonade in fridge
- To serve place lemonade in serving pitcher, add slices of lemon and ice
