- Small ‘baby’ white turnips harvested early when the turnip is about 5 cm in diameter
- Come in bunches with the leafy tops cut off or still attached
- Small smooth white globes
- Special varieties are grown for baby turnip production
- ‘Presto’ and ‘Cueball’ are popular pure white baby turnip varieties
- Milder than larger turnips so can be eaten raw; popular in salads
- Leafy tops can be steamed and used like spinach
- Do not store well
