General Description

  • Small ‘baby’ white turnips harvested early when the turnip is about 5 cm in diameter
  • Come in bunches with the leafy tops cut off or still attached
  • Small smooth white globes
  • Special varieties are grown for baby turnip production
  • ‘Presto’ and ‘Cueball’ are popular pure white baby turnip varieties
  • Milder than larger turnips so can be eaten raw; popular in salads
  • Leafy tops can be steamed and used like spinach
  • Do not store well
