Claim this listingGeneral Description/History
Corepsis is a native American flower that has escaped from gardens in Australia and spread along roadsides and railway lines – particularly in NSW. It has grass-green foliage and bright yellow daisy-type flowers that can be up to 4 cm in diameter. There is one flower per stem and each flower has 8 petals that are ruffled at the edges, and yellow flower centres.
Corepsis are picked from plantations or bush-picked. Most are grown in NSW or Victoria.
What to look for
- Buy when flowers in a bunch are fully open;
- Avoid bunches with yellow leaves, or with dried, curled leaf tips.
Flower Care
- Keep cool at all times.
- Strip leaves from the bottom half of each stem and wash thoroughly.
- Recut at least 2 cm off each stem and place in water immediately.
- Always use a preservative as this will help keep open flowers looking fresh.
